CASR Group A Full Acceptance

Purpose of the course

The purpose of this training course is to provide procedures for the client whereby participants will become familiar with the contents of the Dangerous Goods regulations and will be able to accept, process and handle all types of Dangerous Goods covered by the IATA Dangerous Goods regulations.

Content of the course

  • Interpreting the current IATA DGR manual and the Australian legislation
  • Recognition of hidden dangerous goods
  • Shipper’s and operators responsibilities
  • Limitations including excepted, limited quantities and States/operators’ variations
  • Classification and identification of dangerous goods
  • Packaging, marking, and labeling requirements
  • Documentation including Shipper Declaration and the accompany Air Waybill
  • Acceptance, loading, stowage and segregation
  • Provision of information and emergency procedures
  • Shipping radioactive materials

Duration of Course

Four days (8 hours a day)

Prerequisites

None

Certification

The course is approved by Civil Aviation Safety Authority and therefore, an awarded certificate will be issued to the participants following successful completion of this course.

  • Shippers, Operators, freight forwarders, ground handling agents
  • Deemed employees whose function includes above duties (e.g. agent acting as a shipper, etc).

Purpose of the course

The purpose of this training course is to recertify those who have undertaken the full acceptance course previously. The Course highlight the current and updated Dangerous Goods Regulations requirements which includes classification, Identification, packing, marking, labelling, documentation and handling of all types of Dangerous Goods in accordance with the current edition of IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.

Content of the course

  • Review the updated requirements of the IATA DGR and the Australian legislation
  • Navigate through the provisions of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation and Recall the significant changes and amendments to the new Dangerous Goods Regulations edition.
  • Follow the general emergency procedures.

1 day (8 hours)

Prerequisites

Participants must hold a valid DGR certificate to register for this course. If the certificate is older than 2 years, then you must register for the full acceptance / initial course.

The course is approved by Civil Aviation Safety Authority and therefore, an awarded certificate will be issued to the participants following successful completion of this course.
